A personal request to my fellow colleagues, partners and advocates:
World Romance Scam Prevention Day is October 3, and I would truly appreciate your help sharing the day with your networks, organizations and communities.
Whether you share a WRSPD graphic, start a conversation about romance scam manipulation, provide trusted resources or remind victims that they are not alone, your voice can make a difference.
This year’s theme is See. Hear. Understand. It challenges all of us to see the person behind the loss, hear victims without blame or judgment, and understand the deliberate psychological and emotional manipulation used by romance scammers.
